This paper critically examined lawlessness in Nigerian democracy which is a dangerous departure that can lead to a devastating destination. It is apparent that human beings cannot develop, build and actualize their potentials without laws that are laid down which will be a guide to the members of the society, but the problem is that these laws are not fully obeyed. That now results in man's inhumanity to his fellow man and disobedience to court orders. This paper shall adopt phenomenological method in order to critically dig deep into the discourse. The findings of this paper are that lawlessness in Nigerian democracy is caused by incompetent government and judicial corruption. The paper concluded that the way we can stop lawlessness in Nigeria is by properly practising separation of powers and avoiding conjunction of powers so that there will be judicial independence.
